How Do You Build A Computer?
I need a list of all the parts needed, and their function.
And detailed instructions on how to make one.
I do not want links, if you send me a link with no actual information written in your answer I will give you a thumbs-down.
Thank you in advance. ^_^

A computer is actually a easy piece of machinery to create, I will list all the main parts out (not specialized) and detail there functions.
Motherboard- connects all the other cards, processors, cd-roms, hard drives… allowing them all to communicate with each other.
Hard Drive- where all you critical data is stored, everything from your operating system to the work you save in ‘word’ is stored here.
Processor- (most of the time comes with the motherboard) it controls every aspect of the computer and reads all the information it gets from the every other part. Example: You type a essay… each and every word you type and every mouse button you click goes through the processor and is sent from there to the graphics card to be once again transmitted to your monitor (most processor has a fan that is more than 200% bigger than the actual processor for heating up reasons).
Sound Card- the name speaks for itself, it reads all the sounds that comes from your programs or operating systems then transmites them to your speakers.
Graphics Card- Once again the name speaks for itself, reads all the colors and graphics pushed from your operating system and programs and transmites them to your monitor.
CD-Rom/ Floppy Drives- Both meant to read your information from your disks, I am not goingto explain this in detail, because if you dont know, maybe you shouldnt be on a computer.
Ethernet/ DSL/ Modem port- responsible for transmitting things over the internet into your computer, a advanced system streams data into your port and the computer (processor) reads over them and translates them to you.
operating system- You cannot have a computer without a OS, windows and apple are the main ones, they are very extensive and translate many programming languages, colors, and sounds to something that your computer pieces can read and then translate to you.
Drivers- They tell the computer what the program you have is andhow exactly to use it, since most programs are released after the official OS, windows (for example) cannot understand how to use the newer programming language that the develepers created. Drivers are most of the time free and no doubt one ofthe most important parts to putting together a computer.
Bios- the bios is the only thing that is almost forever stored on your hard drive, it is what puts the OS on the computer and opens it every time the computer comes on, it is also responsible for making sure that your system doesnt overheat or turns it off if there is a failure in a piece of hardware.
Power Supply- plugs into most pieces of the computer, responsible for pushing power (some more than others) to certain parts of your computer.

> CPU – The brain of the computer
> Motherboard – The central nervous system of the machine. (All parts attach to this)
> Power Supply – Provides power to all components
> Hard drive – Required as a boot device for your operating system to be installed onto.
> Video card – (Only required if not built onto the motherboard) Provides video output for your monitor
> Sound card – (Only required if not built onto the motherboard) Provides sound output for your speakers
> Case – The nifty box that all of the parts go into.
> Optical Drive – Used for reading CD’s and DVD’s (needed for installing anything from a Disk). Possibly Blu-Rays if you get a Blu-Ray drive.
> RAM – Memory required for running an OS.
Everything has unique attachment parts so it is fairly easy to match the plug-ins to the cables, etc. Just match up all of the cables and you are good.
Any other parts are purely optional. I usually buy most of my parts from either Tiger Direct or NCIX.

To build a computer you must first assemble your CPU, the Central Processing Unit consists of motherboard (main board), memory for temporary storage, hard disk for file storage, Video Card for display, and sound card for sounds. You also need computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, and printer for outputs. You also need software such as Operating system software and other application softwares in order for your computer to be operational.
