Use your local library. It will have many fine books with information on how to proceed with the job.

A 12′ X 12′ building would create much less waste, and would probably be easier to construct for a novice. Plywood comes in 4′ X 8′ sheets.
The next question, would be rather you would like the construction to be based on 16″ centers, or 24″ centers, the latter requiring less lumber, but also being slightly weaker.
A gable, is the end truss of a roof, or a stick built version of a triangle, in any of various angles or “pitch”, as it is referred to.
More questions would involve the wall heights, like 8′, 10′, or 12′ walls.
As for plans, I believe there are quite a few sites in which you could obtain plans, but I doubt that they would be free.

I agree you should consider the waste you’ll have based on the overall size. If you go 10 by 16 that’s just 5 sheets of plywood for flooring with no waste. Also 10 foot joists(floor and/or ceiling) are easy to come by with no waste and rafters would be about 6 feet long (2 out of a 12 foot board) so again no waste. All the home improvement stores have sheds set up outside so go take a good look, you might not need a set of plans.
