Is The Ged Test Given To Students Who Opt To Leave High School Difficult?

My daughter (US citizen) has left school in her senior high school year in Sydney Australia and plans to take the GED pursue higher education at a community college in California. Any opinions or suggestions welcome as to her preparation for the GED. Thanks in advance!

As far as I know which ever school you choose to do this at will give you pre-tests to determine what your strengths and weaknesses are. From there the teachers or aids help you prepare for the actual tests themselves. I took mine three years after dropping out of high school in my freshmen year, and I scored quite high on almost all subjects. So in other words it wasn’t all that hard, but each state has a different standard for testing. I noticed at book stores like Barnes and Nobel they have GED study books. So maybe getting one of those might be helpful. Especially if it’s been a while since you’ve been in school.

I’ts not all that hard, but she needs to focus and study hard and be really serious about it. I’m really glad to hear that she is interested in getting her GED. That is the thing she can do, and I’m sure you are very proud of her. There are alot of schools that offer those types of classes to obtain a GED, and they only take about 6-8 months to get her GED. Congratulations for her.
