Suitable/decent Computer Build?
Custom building a PC case for about $1200 AU + $300 for OS etc, screen is irrelevant.
Have so far come up with the following design, any comments, improvements etc.
Computer is mainly to be used for typical everyday tasks as well as running games such as GTA4, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, at a decent resolution at the very least 1024 x 1280.
Build List:
Lian-Li Silent Force 650W $183
6GB Kit (3×2G) DDR3 1600 Kingston $175
ASUS P6T-SE $275
Core i7-920 $364
ASUS Nvidia Geoforce 9600 GT 512mb $109
Seagate 500GB HDD $61
Antec 200 (case) $70
LG SATA DVD Drive $55
OS/Software:
Windows 7 Home Premium OS (64-bit)
Microsoft Office 2007
Told multiples of 3 in ram is best due to tri-linear processing and that would require 64-bit OS.

looks good to me…
that board is great ,you can run crossfire or sli on it….it supports triple channel, so your ram is ok also…..
only thing i would change is the 9600gt…i would go with a 9800gt or a hd radeon 4850..both are around 100.00usd and will outperform the 9600gt easily….and those 2 cards are maybe 20.00usd more….well worth the extra 20.00 for the performance….
other than that you have a good build there

It all looks pretty decent, and in order to process 6GB of ram you would need 64-bit anyways, 32-bit versions would not recognize that amount. The only problem is that your motherboard is designed to use an ATI card, not NVIDIA. The main thing this will affect is that you can’t do an SLI connection between two NVIDIA cards on that board.
