I Have A Small Business – Should I Start A Twitter Account Using The Business Name Or My Personal Name?

    Friday, February 26th, 2010

I am a bit of a shy person so my first instinct would be to use the business name. The purpose of having Twitter is to build up a list of followers who I can hopefully convert into blog followers for my business blog.
    Which should I choose?

Should I Offer To Pay For Parents And Siblings Too If They Opt To Join My Son’s Birthday Party?

    Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

My son is having his birthday party at the indoor pool. It’s too cold to do anything outside, so doing my own economic party in the backyard was not a choice. I sent out the invitations and it seems like some of the parents, and some siblings, are going to join us too. I am totally cool with that, (the more the merrier) but then, would it be rude to make them pay for themselves?

    Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Should The Labour Party Issue A Donation Price List?

    Thursday, February 4th, 2010

It seems that the going rate for a peerage is a party donation of millions of pounds, whereas a more routine transaction, e.g. permission to build on the green belt, only costs a few hundred thousand. But the system is far from transparent; for example how do I know how much to donate to the labour party if I want planning permission for an extension, or just a minor government contract. There probably is a going rate but shouldn’t it be in the public domain?

How Much Should I Sell My Build-a-bear’s For?

    Saturday, January 9th, 2010

I have about six Build-A-Bear’s that I bought for my son this year that he has never played with. They have been in a smoke-free, pet-free home in plastic bag in a box in my closet. They all have full outfits with socks and shoes. Also, all of the animals have sounds. (Example: the cow mooes, the dinosaur growls, etc.) I was interested in selling them on Craig’s List or E-bay. How much do you think they should go for?

Benlow Works has been vandalised and neglected by it’s current owners. Should the government compulsory purchase this old factory built in 1909 so it can be put to good use?

Should Communities Have The Right To Opt-out Of Multiculturalism?

    Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Most Western countries have adopted multiculturalism as the accepted cultural format for their society. Any country or community that rejects multiculturalism typically receives heavy criticism from the media and politicians alike (see front cover of the Independent – 1st September 2007). Is it acceptable, in the interest of maintaining cultural integrity and global diversity, for communities to opt-out of a multicultural framework?
